MOORCROFT - 1936 KING GEORGE VI CORONATION MUG. A good Moorcroft coronation mug with 'King George VI' over the crown,and 'Queen Elizabeth' on the back with an orb and scepter. The lower part has the date with national flowers. In very good condition with light overall crazing. See all photographs.

1924 BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION MINIATURE JUG. Good miniature 2 1/2" jug for the 1924/5 British Empire exhibition at Wembley, London. In very good condition. 56 countries of the British Empire took part. It was the largest exhibition ever staged anywhere in the world and attracted 27 million visitors.

1897 QUEEN VICTORIA'S DIAMOND JUBILEE MUG A good commemorative mug for Leicester’s (A city in the East Midlands of England) Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee celebrations. A portrait of the Mayor J. Herbert Marshall on one side and the Mayoress on the other. Queen Victoria’s portrait is on the front. Some wear to the top rim otherwise in very good condition. See all pictures

LOUIS-NAPOLEON BONPARTE (NAPOLEON III) PLATE NAPOLEON III - Rare mid 19th century plate. Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte (1808 – 1873) Elected President by popular vote in 1848, he initiated a coup d'état in 1851, before ascending the throne As Napoleon III in 1852 and ruled as Emperor of the French until 1870. He was the son of Napoleon I’s brother and liked to proclaim that he was his uncle’s nephew. There is a 1cm x 2cm chip (lower right front) which is not immediately obvious in the design. Otherwise in good condition with very light age crazing.

1902 3 GENERATIONS KING EDWARD VII CUP & SAUCER. KING EDWARD VII FAMILY CORONATION CUP & SAUCER. An interesting item for the 1902 coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra with color family portraits. Edward and Alexandra on the cup, Prince and Princess of Wales (later King George V and Queen Mary 1910-1936) with Prince Edward of Wales (Later King Edward VIII 1936 Abdicated) on the saucer. 'A present from Yarmouth' printed on the cup (A town on the east coast of England). No makers marks but probably Continental. Some fading to the background color and some age wear but on the whole in good condition with no chips cracks or restoration.

1977 QUEEN ELIZABETH SILVER JUBILEE WELSH STUDIO POTTERY PLATE. An unusual Silver Jubilee 1952-1977 stoneware plate. The rear has the impressed marks 'J.H.(Probably Janet Hamer) and 'Ponthir' (A town in south east Wales). In good condition with a little loss of color (lower left). No chips or cracks.

1911 W.H.GOSS CUP FOR THE CORONATION KING GEORGE V. A bone china cup coronation cup - 1911 King George V and Queen Mary. They both have a large hand colored design of G and M in surrounded by royal symbols. Above a banner
reading 'GEORGE V.D.G BRITT.OMN.REX F.D.IND.IMP. CROWNED 22 JUNE 1911'.
In very good condition with some age wear to the rin gilding.

1951 FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN BRASS DOOR KNOCKER. 1951 Festival of Britain Souvenir brass door knocker in the form of the Festival symbol. Designed by Abram Games, the image of Britannia's head set above the four points of the compass became the lasting symbol of the Festival. The Festival was an attempt to give Britains a feeling of recovery and progress and to promote better-quality design in the rebuilding of British towns following the war.

TRUSTY SERVANT, WINCHESTER COLLEGE. BRASS DOOR KNOCKER. An unusual solid brass door knocker with a figure of The Trusty Servant. An imaginary beast from the history of the English city of Winchester. A man with the ears of an ass on a pig's head, the snout is padlocked.

1924 BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION TIN BOX. An usual small size biscuit (Cookie) tin in good condiion with the usual light wear and no dents. The symbol of the exhibition was the lion shown on the lid. The 1924 British Empire Exhibition was opened by King George V. The British Empire contained 58 countries at that time, and only Gambia and Gibraltar did not take part. It cost £12 million and was the largest exhibition ever staged anywhere in the world - it attracted 27 million visitors.
