Manufacturer: No makers marks.

A very rare and unusual pair King George V and Queen Mary LITHOPHANES (Hold base to the light to view portraits). On the front of each is a portrait of Gen-Field Marshall Von Hindenburg above an Iron Cross dated 1914 surrounded by guns, cannons and the German flag. He appears to be wearing his Pour Le Merite (Blue Max) which was awarded to him in Sept 1914. What possible event could have warranted issuing cups with George V and Queen Mary lithophanes in the bases and Von Hindenburg on the front? If you have any information please let us know. Both in excellent condition. See all Photographs.
