c.1936 ROYAL DOULTON WHISKY JUG OF THE 1830 GEORGE IV JUG. A rare whisky jug being a good replica of the 1830 King George IV memoriam jug by Royal Doulton. A portrait of King George IV on one side and inscription ‘To the memory of his late majesty….’ with dates on the reverse. The side has the royal coat of arms and inscribed ‘With the compliments of "King George IV" Old Scotch Whisky'. The base has the Royal Doulton mark and the impressed number 8141. See all pictures. In very good condition with very light age crazing.

1887 MATCH SAFE / VESTA CASE.QUEEN VICTORIA'S - ADVERTISING A very unusual 1887 Queen Victoria Golden Jubilee nickel-plated case one side embossed "Perry & Co limited, steel pen makers", the other embossed with "jubilee box" and "1837-1887" surrounding a bust of Queen Victoria, with hinged striker cover. In good condition with some ware. Has not been polished.

1897 QUEEN VICTORIA PIPE BY GAMBIER OF PARIS. A tobacco pipe bowl dated 1897 on the back with "Her Majesty's Jubilee" and the makers marks on the side "Gambier a Paris". In good condition with a small nibbles on the necklace and back side of the crown.

c.1863 PRINCESS ALEXANDRA - ABC PLATE A rare ABC or alphabet plate from the time of her wedding to the Prince of Wales (Later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra). The portrait is surrounded by flowers of the union above the Prince of Wales feathers. The plate has the entire alphabet molded around the rim. In very good condition with typical age crazing. A nice plate with no chips, cracks or restoration.

1914 THE PRINCESS MARY W.W.I. BRASS CHRISTMAS GIFT BOX.. A special fund was created by Princess Mary, the 17 year old daughter of King George V and almost £200,000 was donated to send the troops in W.W.I. a special Christmas gift box designed by Adshead & Ramsey. The contents varied but most contained 20 cigarettes, a pack of tobacco, a Christmas card and a picture of the Princess. This solid brass box has an embossed profile of Princess Mary, the allies and the date on the lid. In good condition with expected wear. Opens and closes tight with good hinge. See pictures.

A LARGE (5 1/2" TALL) ROYAL DOULTON TANKARD. IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The back has the race winner "Royal Mail" and additional race information. The Royal Doulton backstamp on the base along with impressed number 7119AN.

Imported from Austria for Higgins and Seiter, one of the best and oldest china houses in New York City, known for only carrying the finest china. Located at 9 East 37th St. The store filed for bankruptcy in 1915 after over 50 years in business.

c.1904 - ENTENTE CORDIALE - MUG. A bone china mug with crossed flags of United Kingdom and France. In really excellent condition. The mark on the base is excess gilding. The ENTENTE CORDIALE (Friendly Understanding) was a series of agreements signed on April 8 1904, between the United Kingdom and France which marked the end of centuries of intermittent conflict between the two nations, and the start of the peaceful co-existence that still continues. In good condition.

1878 CUBA - SPAIN. ARSENIO MARTINEZ de CAMPOS. RARE PLATE WITH NAMED PORTRAIT OF GENERAL ARSENIO MARTINEZ DE CAMPOS 1831-1900. MADE IN ENGLAND BY ADAMS WITH REGISTRATION MARK FOR 1878. Arsenio Martinez Campos ruled Cuba for the Spanish empire prior to the Cuban War of Independence. The war was coming to an end, but an agreement had not yet been reached. Martinez Campos tricked the Cuban revolutionaries into signing the Pact of Zanjon on February 10, 1878, which promised the Cubans many reforms and concessions that the Spanish did not honor. He returned to Spain in 1878 and became prime minister. In good condition with usual minor wear and light crazing. There is an 1/2" surface crack and small hairline on the rear rim only and does not show on the front.

SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL CUP & SAUCER. A post war bone china cup and saucer with a named portrait of Winston Churchill on the cup and saucer. The base is marked H & M Sutherland bone china. In very good condition with just a little wear to the saucer's inner rim.

c.1941 WINSTON CHURCHILL MATCH BOX COVER. A very interesting match box cover the front showing 'The Prime Minister' 'Mr Winston Churchill'. The back has his message to President Roosevelt Feb 9th 1941 'Put your confidence in us........Give us the tools and we will finish the job". The top has President Roosevelt's reply "Britain needs ships ......They shall get them". Very good condition minor staining no rusting. See all pictures.

1845 REPEAL OF THE CORN LAWS JUG. A c.1845 JUG MARKED ‘OUR BREAD UNTAXED’ AND ‘OUR COMMERCE FREE’ SUPPORTING THE REPEAL OF THE HATED CORN LAWS WHICH RESTRICTED THE IMPORT OF CHEAPER WHEAT AND CORN. THE CORN LAWS WERE SUPPORTED BY THE WEALTHY LANDOWNERS WHO STILL CONTROLLED PARLIAMENT. IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH MINOR WEAR TO THE HANDLE AND TYPICAL LIGHT ALL OVER CRAZING.

Austin Chamberlain, 1863-1937 the eldest son of Joseph Chamberlain MP, and the brother of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain . Chancellor of the Exchequer 1903-06. Foreign Secretary 1924-1929. First Lord of the Admiralty 1931. Very good condition.
