c.1802 KING GEORGE III PEARLWARE TEA BOWL - TREATY OF AMIENS. A polychrome enamel tea bowl celebrating the Treaty of Amiens and the end (temporarily) of the hostilities between France and Britain. To the left of Britannia is Victory holding a palm frond and seated to the right is France with a staff and Liberty Cap (A symbol of the French Revolution). In good condition for its age with 3 tiny spots on the rim glaze possibly in manufacture and a small spot loss of glaze on the inside with the usual glaze crazing.

1863 WEDDING KING EDWARD VII & PRINCESS ALEXANDRA CUP & SAUCER. A rare cup & saucer for the 1863 wedding of The Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) and Princess Alexandra. The cup has a portrait titled H.R.H. Prince of Wales on the front and a portrait titled H.R.H Princes Alexandra on the back. The base of the saucer is marked A & C for Adams & Cooper 1850 - 77 (Staffordshire Pottery, England). Both pieces are in really excellent condition.

c.1858 ALBERT EDWARD, PRINCE of WALES1 (LATER KING EDWARD VII) On his 17th birthday in 1858 he was made a knight of the Garter and a colonel in the army. He is shown here in his uniform. Design adapted from a J.Mayall Photograph. See Victoria Remembered by John May page 212 A rare cup and saucer in good condition. The cup has a little wear to the rim gilding and a small area of slight discoloring to the rear rim. A small under glaze chip under the base. The saucer is in very good condition. Both have the usual very light age crazing. No chips, cracks or restorations.

c.1941 PARAGON PATRIOTIC SERIES BATTLESHIPS CUP & SAUCER, World War II Paragon Patriotic Series cup and saucer the bases marked "Patriotic Series, Produced during War of Britain". The saucer has an anchor on a blue background in an acanthus leaf frame with a crown on top. This is the badge worn on Naval Officers caps. The inside of the cup there are three large battleships and a banner reading "Britain shall triumph her ships shall plough the sea, her standard be justice her watchword be free". One of the more popular designs of this interesting series. Excellent condition.

c.1884 JOSEPH LIVESEY FOUNDER OF THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT CUP & SAUCER. 1832 JOSEPH LIVESEY founder of the temperance movement and seven workingmen signed a pledge that they would never again drink alcohol. Other groups of working men followed the example of Livesey and his friends and by 1835 the British Association for the Promotion of Temperance was formed. A rare cup & saucer with the the registration mark for 1884 The year of his death. Small 1/2" hairline on the cup above portrait.
