c.1802 KING GEORGE III PEARLWARE TEA BOWL - TREATY OF AMIENS. A polychrome enamel tea bowl celebrating the Treaty of Amiens and the end (temporarily) of the hostilities between France and Britain. To the left of Britannia is Victory holding a palm frond and seated to the right is France with a staff and Liberty Cap (A symbol of the French Revolution). In good condition for its age with 3 tiny spots on the rim glaze possibly in manufacture and a small spot loss of glaze on the inside with the usual glaze crazing.

1817 PRINCESS CHARLOTTE MEMORIAM TEA CUP. 1817 Princess Charlotte in memoriam porcelain cup. The popular princess was the only child of The Prince of Wales (Later King George IV) and died in childbirth changing the line of succession. In very good condition with no chips or cracks just some light wear.

1897 QUEEN VICTORIA DIAMOND JUBILEE CUP & SAUCER. A good 1897 bone china cup & saucer hand finished with coat of arms, flags and banners over a pale yellow background. In very good condition.

1858 VICTORIA, THE PRINCESS ROYAL - WEDDING TO PRINCE FREDERICK OF PRUSSIA CUP & SAUCER THE PRINCESS ROYAL the eldest child of Queen Victoria, born in 1840. In 1858 she married PRINCE FREDERICK OF PRUSSIA (later Frederick III) in St. James Palace. The Prince was dressed in the uniform of a Prussian General. The back of the cup and the saucer shows the 18th century Sanssouci Palace the Prussian Royal Palace in Potsdam near Berlin. In very good condition with no chips cracks or restoration only very minor age wear to the luster trim. See all photos.

c 1851. CUP & SAUCER SHOWING QUEEN VICTORIA, PRINCE ALBERT AND FAMILY. Titled ‘THE ROYAL FAMILY’. The saucer shows a seated Queen Victoria with Prince Albert and 2 of the children. The cup shows the children and Windsor Castle. Transfer in puce with luster trim and some hand coloring. In very good condition.

On the base of both the cup & saucer is the 1952-1956 Paragon mark. The cup also has 'Original Etching by R.Johnson. In excellent condition.

c.1850 CUP & SAUCER FOR OPENING OF THE BRITANNIA BRIDGE IN WALES. A rare and unusual cup and saucer for the opening of the Britannia Bridge in 1850 linking The Isle of Anglesey and mainland Wales by rail. Providing a direct link between London and the port of Holyhead for ferries to Ireland. The cup shows the new Britannia bridge built by George Stephenson in front of the 1826 Menai road bridge. The other side of the cup has ladies in Welsh costumes. The saucer has more costumed ladies one has a pig on a leash. There is a small (about 1cm ) firing separation on the lower saucer rim which occurred during manufacture otherwise in excellent condition with clear prints and luster trim. See all photos.

PARAGON PATRIOTIC SERIES - WORLD WAR II - CANADA - CUP & SAUCER c.1941. Inscribed 'Canada' and 'For Right and Liberty'. PARAGON was able to continue manufacturing fine quality bone china during the Second World War by producing patriotic items for export. This included the 'Patriotic Series' which raised funds for the war effort. Bottom of both pieces are marked' PARAGON' with double warrants from 'HM THE QUEEN & HM QUEEN MARY'. The saucer is also marked 'Patriotic Series Produced during War of Britain'. Excellent condition.

1908 FRANCO BRITISH EXHIBITION. A small cup and saucer by Grafton China for the 1908 France British Exhibition in London. Excellent condition.

19th CENTURY TEMPERANCE CUP AND SAUCER. The Temperance crest has a man and woman either side, holding flags reading ‘Sobriety brings Domestic Comfort‘. Above is an oak tree with a banner reading ‘Firm as an Oak'. Below the shield, is written ‘Be Thou Faithful Unto Death‘. In good condition with a a glaze flake under the cup and some age wear to the cup rim otherwise very clean.

Size: 5 1/2" saucer.  

c.1884 JOSEPH LIVESEY FOUNDER OF THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT. 1832 JOSEPH LIVESEY founder of the temperance movement and seven workingmen signed a pledge that they would never again drink alcohol. Other groups of working men followed the example of Livesey and his friends and by 1835 the British Association for the Promotion of Temperance was formed. A rare cup & saucer with the the registration mark for 1884 The year of his death. Small 1/2" hairline on the cup above portrait.
