WORLD WAR II PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT & WINSTON CHURCHILL JUG. A World War II 4" jug showing the president and prime minister with national flags and the Statue of Liberty. Titled 'The Champions of Democracy'. Base marked Alfred Meakin England. Very good condition with some age wear to the gilding.

WORLD WAR II WINSTON CHURCHILL TUMBLER. c.1939-1945 Winston Churchill glass with portrait surrounded by etched laurel leaves. Produced as one of a series of war time leaders. Hard to photograph but in excellent condition.

c.1941 WINSTON CHURCHILL MATCH BOX COVER. A very interesting match box cover the front showing 'The Prime Minister' 'Mr Winston Churchill'. The back has his message to President Roosevelt Feb 9th 1941 'Put your confidence in us........Give us the tools and we will finish the job". The top has President Roosevelt's reply "Britain needs ships ......They shall get them". Very good condition minor staining no rusting. See all pictures.

c.1945 ROOSEVELT, CHURCHILL & STALIN MATCH BOX COVER. An interesting match box cover of the 3 war time leaders. The top reads 'Our Deepest Gratitude and Admiration to the allies who stood United in Defeating the Greatest Tyrant in History'. Portraits on the front and national flags on the back. In good condition with some age staining and interior rusting. See all pictures.

1938 RARE NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN BUST. 'CHAMBERLAIN THE PEACEMAKER'. A 5" 1938 BUST OF NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN INSCRIBED ON FRONT ‘CHAMBERLAIN THE PEACEMAKER’ AFTER THE MUNICH CONFERENCE WITH HITLER. No makers marks. Excellent condition.

ROYAL DOULTON. FIELD MARSHALL MONTGOMERY CHARACTER JUG. Large 6 1/4" Royal Doulton Jug of Field Marshall Montgomery. The rear impressed 'Monty'. Base has the Royal Doulton mark and a large 'A'. Excellent condition.

COPELAND SPODE BEAKER BRITISH WAR RELIEF SOCIETY WWII. An unusual pottery beaker by Copeland Spode printed with a shield (surmounted by a crown) and decorated with the British Lion and DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and My Right). The rear has RAF wings and inscribed for the British War Relief Society. In excellent condition.

c.1939 'WAR AGAINST HITLERISM' TEAPOT by CROWN DUCAL. A W.W.II. TEAPOT by Crown Ducal, printed with "This souvenir was made for Dyson & Horsfall of Preston to replace aluminium stocks taken over for Allied armaments 1939". During World War II. People were encouraged to give up aluminum household items which could then be used to make weapons and machinery for the war effort. In reality, few of these items were used and the initiative was simply to make people feel that they were making a contribution. These tea pots were given in exchange for the items donated. 6 WEDGWOOD QUEEN’S WARE W.W.II. PLATES c.1941 Cream colored earthenware (Queen's Ware) transfer printed in sepia.
In 1941 when Britain urgently needed funds to pay for the war effort, the British War Relief Society of the USA commissioned Wedgwood to produced a series of plates titled 'Old London Views'. They came with the following statement - 'This series of commemorative plates was originally primarily to permit the expression, in a definitive and substantial manner, of aid to the British people and to provide the owner of this series with a lasting memento of their contribution to the British cause. Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Inc. of America are acting as promoters in this undertaking, while from the parent company in the near of beleaguered England comes assurance that in spite of alarms, in spite of all the hazards of total war, production of the series has already started and will continue until completed'. Price for all 6.

PARAGON PATRIOTIC SERIES - WORLD WAR II - CANADA - CUP & SAUCER c.1941. Inscribed 'Canada' and 'For Right and Liberty'. PARAGON was able to continue manufacturing fine quality bone china during the Second World War by producing patriotic items for export. This included the 'Patriotic Series' which raised funds for the war effort. Bottom of both pieces are marked' PARAGON' with double warrants from 'HM THE QUEEN & HM QUEEN MARY'. The saucer is also marked 'Patriotic Series Produced during War of Britain'. Excellent condition.
