Enameled in bright colors with a central heraldic shield supported by a lion and a unicorn. Usual age wear to the outer rim gilding and a small dark spot at a little after noon on the rim edge. Otherwise in very good condition no chips cracks or restoration..

A 4 3/4 octagonal Paragon plate enameled with the Scottish lion flanked by flags above thistles and scrolls within a sepia banner inscribed ‘Empire Exhibition Scotland - Bellahouston Park 1938’. Unofficially known as the British Empire Exhibition was an international exposition held at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow from May to December 1938 and opened by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
