Enameled in bright colors with a central heraldic shield supported by a lion and a unicorn. Usual age wear to the outer rim gilding and a small dark spot at a little after noon on the rim edge. Otherwise in very good condition no chips cracks or restoration..

c.1941 PARAGON PATRIOTIC SERIES BATTLESHIPS CUP & SAUCER, World War II Paragon Patriotic Series cup and saucer the bases marked "Patriotic Series, Produced during War of Britain". The saucer has an anchor on a blue background in an acanthus leaf frame with a crown on top. This is the badge worn on Naval Officers caps. The inside of the cup there are three large battleships and a banner reading "Britain shall triumph her ships shall plough the sea, her standard be justice her watchword be free". One of the more popular designs of this interesting series. Excellent condition.
